THE 5 NIYAMAS
In this Yin Yoga Series we’ll be exploring Yin poses for surrender, relaxation and nervous-system reset.
In this 5 week Yin yoga series we’ll explore Yin poses that promote relaxation and a sense of ease in the body, leaving you feeling more spacious and calm after each class.
As the days get longer and the light slowly returns we’ll gather on mat 5 Wednesday evenings in February and March to calm our nervous systems, dive deep within and focus our attention towards letting go of whatever no longer serves us.
If you find yourself anxious or overwhelmed about the world and the constant unrest or simply could use a grounding and nurturing practice to keep you centered, this workshop series is for you.
The classes will focus on long, supported holds to open the spine, center the mind and calm you down, as we prepare the body for a restful sleep or relaxed evening. Each class will have a different focal point, but certain poses will be practiced continuously through the series for the participants to experience the effects and benefits of a consistent and continuous Yoga practice.
We’ll practice getting out of our heads and into our bodies, releasing stress through mindful breathing, allowing you to take a step back and assess what you really need at the given time.
During practice we will explore of the second limb of the 8 Limbs of Yoga, The Niyamas:
Saucha: Clarity/purity
Santosha: Contentment
Tapas: Discipline/ sacrifice
Svadhyaya: Self-study/reflection
Isvara Pranidhana: Surrender
Variations to poses offered throughout class to suit your personal needs.

What do you need in order to practice these sessions:
2 blocks
1 bolster (or large folded duvet as substitute)
1 strap (a scarf or even belt works as a substitute)
1 Blanket
Wall space
Yoga mat
Comfortable clothes/socks (layering encouraged, it can get a little chilly)
PRICE: $70 for all 5 classes ($14 per class)
Drop In: $18 (Drop-ins can be booked until 1 hour before the class, but do make sure to email me which class you want to join)
(Note: 24 hour cancellation from time of purchase. After 24 hours the series is non-refundable or drop-in is non-refundable. In case I need to cancel, you’ll get a full refund for any canceled classes. Thanks for your understanding!)
